Are these old intruders really our history?
Black and white moments are stuck here at random.
Writing on the back – ‘52, London –
Only deepens the obsolete mystery.
Smiling happily – despite having no name
That anyone still alive would remember –
Less classified now than insects in amber,
They might have been important at the time.
